CONDENSATE POT

For steam applications, condensate pots are required. Condensate pots are extensively used to measure steam for the purpose of accumulating condensed water and maintaining the fluid volume within the port. As a result, these Pots are used in a variety of marine applications, and the industry uses stainless steel to prevent corrosion. They are used to condense the fluid upstream of the differential pressure transmitter. The main use of condensate pot is for maximizing the accuracy of differential pressure flow measurement on steam applications. Condensate Pot requires the heat to be traced and impulse lines to be insulated. Installed at the same height, they allow accurate measurement by maintaining a constant condensate height in the impulse lines above the differential pressure transmitter. They are used to ensure that the condensation of steam in the impulse lines does not impair the ability to accurately sense differential pressure fluctuations and to minimize gauge line error because of differences between pairs of impulse lines. Nascent fabricates the condensate pot using high-tech machines and other inventory, which ultimately increases the productivity and efficiency of the Pots. The condensation pot can also be used to protect the transmitter in the case of a flow measurement of a corrosive or aggressive fluid.

The theory of operation for condensate pots is that between the process taping and the pot is a steam vapor. Between the pot and the differential pressure transmitter is water which eliminates any measurement errors due to a liquid or vapor mix at the measurement device. Other chemical elements such as molybdenum, tungsten, carbon, and silicon contribute to the material’s excellent strength, corrosion resistance, general corrosion resistance, pitting resistance in chloride environments, and excellent crevice corrosion resistances etc. In order for this to work correctly, both high pressure and low-pressure impulse lines should be the same length. Thus, eliminating pressure head errors. One condensate pot will be required for each impulse line.
